Hi, I'm Nicole
I'm a photographer based in Southwest Washington, and after being a long time hobbiest, I finally decided to do the slightly terrifying thing and turn it into an actual business. So... here we are. 😂
I've loved photography for years. I've taken approximately eleventy-billion pictures of my own kids, family, pets, random things that caught my eye, and probably way too many flowers. I've spent a lot of time learning my camera, figuring out lighting and editing, and trying to get better with every shoot. The photography part is the part I love. The business part? That's a whole different story.
I'm currently learning all the fun stuff that comes with running a photography business — building a website, figuring out marketing, creating contracts, organizing galleries, and generally trying to remember all the things I'm supposed to be doing. I'm figuring it out as I go, and I'm okay with that.
What I do know: I don't want your family photos to feel stiff or overly complicated. And I don't want you to stress.
I'm a mom of two energetic kids, so I have a pretty realistic understanding that children don't always cooperate with our carefully planned photo session. Sometimes they run. Sometimes they make weird faces. Sometimes they need a break. Sometimes they suddenly decide they're a dinosaur. Honestly, that's usually when things get interesting.
I like giving families some direction when they need it, but I also want room for the goofy, genuine and completely unplanned moments. My goal is for your session to feel relaxed, not like you've been handed a list of poses and told to smile on command.
I'm still learning, too. Every session teaches me something new about photography, about working with different people and personalities, and occasionally about what not to do next time. 😅 And I'm okay with being a work in progress.
If you're looking for a photographer who will show up, put in the work, try to make you laugh when things get awkward, and do her best to make the experience easy and comfortable, I'd love to work with you.
